All Staff Meeting
Applied Behavior Autism Center (ABAC) typically holds one staff meeting each year. However, this year the company decided to host four smaller meetings, each focused on different objectives and topics within the ABA field.
The first training session was led by Morgan from Aba Visualized, a company dedicated to making behavior expertise approachable, relatable, and accessible through educational books, resources, and professional trainings.
I attended the event to capture content for ABAC's social media platforms. My primary focus was photography, but I also had the opportunity to record a video of Morgan explaining the concept of "Rainbow Breathing," a strategy used to help individuals regulate their emotions and practice mindfulness. I thought it was such an interesting topic that I wanted to share it with everyone.
One of my favorite parts about staff trainings is seeing employees connect. As I mentioned in a previous blog, ABAC provides both in-center and in-home services. Because of this, many Behavioral Technicians who work in-home do not often get the chance to interact with employees who work at the center, and vice versa.
These meetings create an opportunity for everyone to come together, learn from one another, and strengthen relationships across the company. It's always great to see the sense of community that develops during these events, and I enjoy being able to capture those moments through photos and videos.
Below are some of the photos I took during the training session.
